Professional Experience

Mr. Wilson’s practice focuses on employment law and civil litigation. Mr. Wilson has nearly a decade of experience representing employers and employees in a wide variety of employment disputes including discrimination, sexual harassment, injured worker retaliation, medical leave interference and retaliation, whistleblower retaliation, military service discrimination and wage and hour disputes. Mr. Wilson is experienced in trial and appellate practice, arbitration, mediation and administrative representation before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Bureau of Labor and Industries. In recognition of his professional achievement, Mr. Wilson has been selected by his peers as a “Rising Star” in both management-side and plaintiff’s-side employment law by Super Lawyers magazine.

Mr. Wilson’s civil litigation experience includes representing businesses, business owners, non-profit entities and individuals in a wide variety of matters including breach of contract, tortious interference with business relations, trespass, sex abuse, medical and professional malpractice, defamation and civil rights claims.

Mr. Wilson has also successfully defended individuals and business entities from claims arising out of their constitutionally protected speech activities under Oregon’s anti-SLAPP statute.

Representative Cases

  • Employment Law: Represent employers, business owners and employees in all phases of employment disputes including pre-termination advice, severance negotiations, administrative filings and investigation, enforcements actions, arbitration, mediation, state and federal court litigation and appeals.
  • Business Litigation: Represent corporations, business owners, and nonprofit entities in contractual disputes as well as claims for tortious interference with business relations, nuisance, trespass, conversion, negligence, defamation, FINRA arbitration and claims under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
  • Sexual Abuse: Prosecute and defend allegations of sexual abuse including claims by caretakers, patients, domestic workers and state employees.
  • Administrative Appeals: Represent individuals before the Nursing Review Board, Employee Relations Board, and Unemployment Appeals Board and litigate circuit court review of state agency orders, including agency funding decisions and PERS benefit determinations.
  • Malpractice: Defend and prosecute claims for professional and medical malpractice.
